GOOD THINGS

The Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation contributed more than $85,000 to 19 organizations in 2013. In addition, the team of 55 attorneys and staff at Bachus & Schanker, LLC, gave an estimated 600 hours of their time to support worthy nonprofits across the state. Since launching in 2009, the Foundation has donated nearly $350,000 to local nonprofits.

Perry L. Goorman, with law offices in Greenwood Village, Colorado and Scottsdale, Arizona, is pleased to announce that he was recently elected to the board of directors of the Scottsdale Bar Association.

TestJon R. Tandler, a shareholder of Ryley Carlock & Applewhite, serves on the Board of Directors of Food Bank of the Rockies and Chairs its Audit Committee. For its fiscal year ending June 30, FBR distributed more than 46 million pounds of food and commodities through hunger relief partner agencies and FBR’s direct service programs.

MVL welcomes Leeah Lechuga as the new Rovira Scholar. Lechuga will also work as a part-time FLCP Coordinator.

Kevin Murphy MVLKevin D. Murphy, Metro Volunteer Lawyers’ former Family Law Court Program Coordinator, finishes his work with MVL this month. Murphy would like to thank MVL, its board, and the talented volunteers for the wonderful 1.5 years of serving countless indigent clients. Although Murphy will move into private practice, he and his partner, James L. French, will continue to serve the underprivileged community by accommodating clients of modest means. The Law Firm of Murphy & French will practice in areas ranging from Family and Criminal Law to general Civil Litigation.

Thomas E. Goodreid, Paul M. Grant and Stacia D. Kuhn are pleased to announce the formation of Goodreid Grant & Kuhn LLC with offices in downtown Denver and Lakewood.

DBA YLD President Elect Beth Mankamyer and her husband Jay welcomed their daughter Hailey Grey Mankamyer. She weighed 6 pounds and 15 ounces.

IMG_8007Colorado and Denver Bar Associations Sections and Committees Program Coordinator Andrea Mueller Arias and her husband Manny welcomed their daughter Aviana Elaine Arias. She weighed 9 pounds and 1.1 ounces and was 20 inches long.
