Surrounded by family, beloved mother and grandmother, Jean Watson Laird died peacefully in her sleep. She was born to Frank R. and Louella Warson in Worland, Wyoming. Jean attended schools in Worland, taking special voice and piano instruction in Denver during her summers. She graduated from Stephends College in 1946 and attended the University of Wyoming until 1948. While there, she was selected as the Miss Wyoming runner-up. She married Leroy Laird and together they had three children. They later divorced. She married former Colorado Bar Association Executive Director William Miller in 1975, and spent many happy years traveling and entertaining. She was a 50+ member of PEO. Jean’s family was the center of her life. She is remembered for her generosity, her wonderful meals, her sense on humor, her kindness, and her infinite patience.
